On October 16, our colleague Anna Savyna, PhD in Philology and Coordinator of the Customer Solutions and Design Department at Diya, met with students of the Educational and Research Institute of Foreign Philology at Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University to share her story of professional growth and demonstrate how a background in languages can lead to a fulfilling career in IT. During the meeting, Anna introduced the students to Diya, spoke about the company’s history and culture, and explained how philologists can find their place in the tech industry.
Proficient language skills open up numerous opportunities in Customer Support, Coordination, Marketing, Recruitment, and many other roles. After all, the world of IT is not limited to engineers and developers. More and more professionals from non-technical backgrounds are successfully switching to IT, discovering new paths in the industry, especially if they truly dream of it!
