Every year on May 8, together with the entire civilized world, we honor those who stood against Nazism and paid the highest price during World War II. Now we understand that the concept of peace is fragile. It may only seem unshakable and solid until the moment it collapses.
Peace lives in everyday choices, in responsibility, in the way people treat each other and the world around them. And peace takes generations to rebuild. That is why remembrance matters. Because as long as we remember, we understand the value of what we have, and why it must be preserved.
Peace is never something we can take for granted.
